Aloha, does my dad need all the background checks before buying a firearm each time or once he has registered one gun already can he buy more?  Any consession for seniors and veterans?

You purchase the firearm and have it delivered to a ffl here.  You then get a pistol permit for each pistol, or a long gun permit for unlimited long guns in a 1 year period.  Then the waiting period, permit pickup, firearm pickup, and registration for each.

No difference for seniors and military.
