I’ve been to pretty much all of them on the east side including going all the way out to Dietz in New Braunfels. Do the other sides of town have anything better? Just moved out to La Vernia area and learned about Reality Defense in Pleasanton but unfortunately their range is only open for training classes. Is the drive and money for 7 Foxtrot worth it?

There are a few public ranges.  Bexar Community Shooting Range is out towards Marion, off I10, with 25/50/100/200 yard ranges is probably the closest. Small shop, but usually have a good selection of powder.  Facebook link

A Place To Shoot is on the south side of San Antonio, off 410, outside the loop.  They have pistol and rifle ranges.  I haven’t been there in several years, but I think they tightened up rules/berms after being accused of rounds from the range hit someone across the lake.  Also has a gun shop.  Website link

A couple of ‘private’ clubs/ranges with waitlists.  Nimrod Rifle Club, by Braunig Lake. Several ranges from 25 to 400 yards.  

Another one, by Jourdanton, is Atascosa Rifle and Pistol Club.  Ranges go out to 500 yards.  Google link

Seguin eh? Lived there for 20 years off of ilka switch. Back when Lola’s was the Country Store gas stationed that used to be owned by the old Constable Bobby Jahns. Used to shoot back there all the time but of course it’s all houses now.

I also like this range and they are upgrading. Most of the range cadre I've talked to are pro gun veterans.
