Somehow they seem to think minority farmers are too stupid to get the same price for what they produce.
New legislation aimed at delivering $5 billion in direct relief to Black, Indigenous, and Hispanic farmers and other agricultural producers of color to help them respond to the devastating consequences of the pandemic and resulting economic downturn, as well as address longstanding inequity in agriculture. |

Apparently "white folk" are immune to any adverse effect from the Chinese flu, and yup, product produced by minorities is apparently worth less than that produced by white farmers. How does that work ... asking for a friend. The " longstanding inequity in agriculture..." has me scratching my head as well.

It's called eminent domain. Been around for quite a while. No one really owns any property in this country - not if .gov takes a liking to it.

I think WI was sold a bill of goods by Foxconn. I doubt if their plans will ever happen. Sounds also like a number of Mt. Pleasant (really?) officials have "big wheels on a little wagon" syndrome. Reminds me of the big ethanol facility that was going to bring in a lot of jobs to the Plover area. Place operated for a short time and then the owners disappeared back into the Canadian woodwork along with a good chunk of State money.

Not sure if it has happened here, but lots of cities have seized people's property via eminent domain only to turn around and give it to developers for golf courses or condos. They somehow justify it by saying it increases the tax base so it is legal. (I'm sure none of the bureaucrats behind this were paid off by the developers who wanted the property.)

I think the farms will all be owned by the chinese. They are buying up our food plants, and already control our medicines production along with india.

Yeah, a lot of the meds they tout as "made in the USA" are made with raw material from China. Assembled in USA might as well mean packaged in the USA.
