NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH)– Vice President Kamala Harris will travel to New Haven on Friday, March 26.

There is no word on the reason for her visit but more details are expected to follow.

Harris is the first woman, the first Black American, and the first South Asian American to be elected Vice President.

U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) released the following statement regarding Vice President Harris’ upcoming visit to Connecticut:

“I’m thrilled to welcome my friend and former colleague Vice President Harris to the great state of Connecticut, and look forward to showing her the work already underway putting American Rescue Plan resources to work in our communities. Vice President Harris has made helping families a priority since her days as my Senate deskmate. Under her leadership, and the leadership of President Biden, the American Rescue Plan is injecting billions of dollars directly into Connecticut state and local governments.”

She showed up and was whisked around from place to place without having to engage with the peasantry.

Successful visit, apparently.

I contend that Zuppardi's apizza has never been great, just another overrated/over-hyped pizzeria like Frank Pepe's

Pepe's on Wooster St. went down hill when they started franchising. Many many years ago Pepe's was good, when they had the old folks staffing the place and it had more of a local neighborhood family place where you could go in and sit for a couple of hours and eat a pie. They they booted all the old regulars on the staff and went the franchise route. They shifted to shuttling people through as quick as possible. The franchise locations sucked because their pizza ovens were not seasoned (due to decades of use) so the pizza turned out differently. Used to be regular at Pepe's in the 90's. Don't think I've been there (to the Wooster St. location) in 10 to 15 years. Place lost its charm years ago.

Unpopular opinion - there is no truly outstanding pizza in New Haven.

First off, no matter what your politics, Kamel Toe is a horrible, disingenuous, creepy person, who had close to zero support from the members of her own party during the primaries.  She was selected solely for what she is, not for the content of her character.

I know Trump pissed people off, but he was a patriot who believed in America and Americans.  The present Kabal of freedom hating socialist, care only about their own positions, and power.

As far as NH pizza, who cares?  There is this cult that appears to worship pizza, with NH being like their Mecca. I have eaten good pizza and bad pizza, and just don’t get the excitement over it all.

And since I am now forced to drive into NH daily for work, I am more convince then ever it is a garbage filled dung heap.

Kamala Harris Musters Fake Accent, Laughs Hysterically When Discussing Struggling Parents Who Aren’t Able to Send Their Kids to School (VIDEO)

Kamala Harris laughed hysterically when discussing struggling parents who aren’t able to send their kids to school.

Harris delivered remarks at the West Haven Child Development Center in West Haven, Connecticut this weekend.

Kamala Harris mustered a fake accent and cackled as she spoke about parents who struggled to educate their own children due to school closures thanks to Democrat policies and toxic teachers unions.

What is wrong with this woman?

Jennie's (on Grand Street in Bridgeport) Apizza with Scamotz is now just a faded memory of days gone-by.
Now I buy Freschetta or DiGiorno at Shop-Rite.

Connecting the dots...

We found out today the real reason Harris and others have been visiting Connecticut....to find a location "for the children".
Lamont will house the illegal border crossers at the former juvenile training school in Middletown.  (Middletown Patch)

MIDDLETOWN, CT — Gov. Ned Lamont is considering housing migrant children at the former Connecticut Juvenile Training School in Middletown, according to multiple reports.

The Middletown Press first reported that Lamont, who visited the facility at 1225 River Rd. last week, is reviewing options to properly care for migrant children that could potentially travel to Connecticut.

Max Reiss, Lamont's chief spokesperson, told the Courant that everything happening "is preliminary" and that no final decisions have been made on whether the unaccompanied children might be coming to Connecticut.

Middletown is the only site that has been toured so far, according to the Courant.

“Taking kids out of cages in the southwest and moving them into cages in the northeast is not an immigration policy,” Middletown Mayor Ben Florsheim said.

Florsheim said he doesn’t believe the former Connecticut Juvenile Training School in his city is the right place to house these children.

“There’s no way we can house young people in this facility again. Especially people who have experienced immense trauma,” Christina Quaranta, executive director of the Connecticut Justice Alliance, said.
