Scanner has been going nuts for about an hour, and the crowds starting to smash windows and attacking cars just driving by. Sounds like the cops were starting to pull back due to the crowd being too large. Crowd of 500+ according to the scanner.

WAVY -10 said protesters on Atlantic Ave. Police broke up the march when the protesters blocked Atlantic Ave. Police used an Armored Car and launched tear gas(per wavy news crawl and chopper 10) to clear the street.

Yeah numerous businesses had their windows broken. I don't think widespread looting has occurred but a lot of businesses are having to clean up shattered glass.

The governor had declared a state of emergency and issued a curfew for Richmond. The rest of the state is open but localities can request help from the national guards if the rioting gets out of hand.

On a side note, while I don't necessarily agree with the looting, I notice the democratic governors/mayors tend to all have one thing in common: they all blame "outsiders" and use it as a way to strictly enforce their rules. That seems to be the go-to liberal card these days to blame "outsiders" as if the people of Virginia/whatever city or state are all great and on board with their progressive ideas.
