Friend of mines dad got a letter from the state of Indiana about closing all businesses in the state next week other than essential businesses.

Anyone heard this?  I work at US Steel in Gary, they are acting like it's business as usual and we are considered essential.

Tell him to send you a picture of it. From what agency in Indiana? Governor's Office? Department of Health? National Guard?

Other than schools and local government offices I haven't heard that.

I was unable to get anything in writing, however the area where they are located is now under an orange travel advisory.

That's why it's unconfirmed.  I work in essential infrastructure, so I work either way.

I work for the state in an emergency response role.  I haven’t  heard this through any official channels. Our county health department issued a formal request for non essential businesses to VOLUNTARILY close.  Not really enforceable but it’s a good idea in my humble opinion.
