Ya, pretty freaking cool!
I can't open the link above, so I don't know if that article mentions it, but 3 of the 125 member crew are Montanans, as well. Too bad my uncle (retired Master Chief) passed away before it could be christened. |

I joined the committee as a sponsor when the CO and a couple of crew members came to our USSVI. A lot of us bubbleheads are going to show up when she becomes USS and not a PCU.
We got boat hats and everything, so you may see some of them around the state. I also was at the commissioning of the USS Helena, was stationed in Groton back in the 80's. |
