Sold an M1 carbine on gunbroker.  I listed it with a 10 round mag. Buyer is from New York,  sends me an ffl in NY. Is that gtg? Appreciate the help.

Over 50 years old, no problem.

Either register as an antique AW with the bayo lug, or remove the lug and it is then not an AW.

Maybe don't destroy a USGI part...buy a cheap reproduction Type 1 barrel band.

You'll need the M1 carbine site tools though...not that expensive either.

That's what I did. Get a front sight puller and a type 1 barrel band.

Yes 50+ year old AWs are exempt and can be transferred / bought / registered.

I'd prefer to modify to make it not an AW though...like buying a type 1 barrel band.

Otherwise they will confiscate them or ban them with no grandfather clause like the did with mags.

And also magazines of over 10 round capacity  ( original military ones) to accompany a USGI carbine since they fall under the 50+ rule, can be owned if “ registered “ as an “ antique high capacity feeding device”
