I thought it went alright for us, but I don't think anyone's mind was changed.  The anti rights folks took up maybe 1/3 of the lower floor, and that was spread out over that third.  They all had the same talking points even though they did not sit with each other.  "Minimum 72 waiting period will save lives and hurt no one, it's an absolute fact that can't be argued in any way".  They consisted of old white women, teachers, gunsense leaders, and a few younger college/high school kids to talk about how they're being gunned down in class (and 24 hours will definitely help that, since school shootings aren't planned for weeks or more in advance  ).

The rest of the house chamber was orange shirts, not packed full but covering most of the place.  The Vermont Federation of Sportsman's Clubs handed out a ton of their shirts to the pro rights side.  The hearing was 2 hours, after about an hour and a half the antis ran out of speakers so it was just pro gun talk for the last half hour.  Many on our side were holding up 3x5 inch American flags after our speakers, causing Maxine Grad to crane her neck after every good pro rights speaker, she would then bang the gavel and the butthurt guy calling speakers would tell us that's banned in the chamber and we're taking time away from other speakers.

One woman testified how a gun purchase saved her from an abusive ex with a baseball bat soon after.  One guy quite loudly told the legislators that the second amendment is not for shooting deer, it's for shooting tyrants.  They introduced the last speaker who was from Philadelphia and ended with "learn 4 words:  'Shall Not Be Infringed'".  The whole place broke into applause causing extreme butthurt among the table.  The old bag Maxine banging the gavel while the guy with the mic tried to shut everyone up.  Even though he had previously mentioned it was the last speaker of the night and no one was left sitting in the on deck chairs he loudly told us that there was one more person to speak for our side but we all ruined it for them.  Everyone laughed.

Overwhelming opposition from our side. Won’t matter to the supermajority.
