Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Trip to WV

Hi wife and I are planning a WV trip. We are in NE Ohio. Will be around Elkins, WV. Probably going to get a cabin for a few nights. Might take the Train ride for a day.  We like the mountains but anything in the state is good. Carry laws? Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

Threats will be the same as what you have at home too.  

Enjoy your stay. I recommend taking the Seneca Rocks trail to the top, Exploring one of the caverns, and taking a trip through the Dollysods and Cranberry Glade.

Otter Creek Wilderness is closest to Elkins if you want to hike/backpack.
Drive up to the top of Spruce Knob if just sightseeing. Coming from Elkins you have to take gravel FS roads. If you come up from the Riverton side the road is paved.
