Watching the radar, and monitoring the local emergency frequencies and it appears that a tornado was spotted close to the Galena territories, and was moving NE at 25mph. There is a tornado on the ground near Lancaster right now. The cell doesn't look like it is weakening right now, so heads up folks!

I enjoy a good thunderstorm, but on a Holiday weekend I could do without it.

Will keep my head on a swivel for the next 45 minutes or so.

Sirens here went off twice. Funnel cloud spotted between Janesville and Clinton. A tornado was seen near South Beloit High School. Dunno if touchdown or what.

Was a slight let down here. No 60mph winds, no hail, just rain.

I hope you have a set of floaties. You may need them.

I love storm season. If you ever get bored and want some excitement, look into Skywarn training.
