This looks terrible.. You're right... we never would eat this.

In Vienna we don't name it "Vienna Sausages". This name is used in Germany.
Here it is known as "Frankfurter".

it was a little bit confusing because "Wurst" is "sausage" in german language - so this is the pun. But I didnt connect it with "worst"... got it. Thanks
