Putting it out there for another AL/TN Get Together. Tentative schedule would be Sat./
The last one we had was Oct. 2019; the planned event for April 2020 was canceled due to the Scamdemic. The 2019 event was hampered by a death in the neighborhood and it cut short the festivities by quite a bit. Participants at the 2019 event included: @Pangea @TN-MadDog (had to cancel) QCMGR @axl (had to cancel) @pukindog I can't get into the archives to C&P all the info and I really, really do not have to create all that info again - is there a way to access the Hometown Archives? Canceled: I and my wife are sick. |

Background info and rules:
Property Rules: 1. The house is off limits. There will be a porta-potty set up. 2. Driving around the property during shooting hours (10 AM 4 PM) is prohibited except between the two firing lines. Travelers will take a specific route to/from the lower range/main venue area. This is to ensure travelers don't inadvertently wander into potential bullet impact areas. The Lower Field/Range may be inaccessible during or after bad weather. 4x4's only for the Lower Field. 3. This is a potluck event. Host and Owner will provide BBQ and baked beans and the dinner essentials (paper plates, forks, condiments etc.). Participants are invited to bring any dish or anything else they would like to bring, but it's not mandatory. 4. Host and Owner will have a basic selection of beer on hand. How long it lasts will depend on the number of participants. Participants are free to bring their beverage of choice. There will be plenty of bottled water available. 5. Camping allowed for both Friday and Saturday nights by reservation only. Potable water is available (from a spigot), but no electricity. No camp fires permitted in the camping area, but you are invited to use the main venue camp fire and ring. 6. Participants can come to the shoot (10-4), the Happy Hour (4- ) or just the BBQ (6-ish) as their schedule allows. Depending on weather, we may have a bonfire after the BBQ. Shooting Restrictions: 1. Shooters may not consume alcoholic beverages and/or drugs or be under their influence at the firing line(s). 2. No shooting over berms and/or back stops. 3. No shooting at Wildlife. 4. No fully auto fire or bumpfire allowed this is an aimed fire event. 5. No .50 caliber BMG firearms. 6. No disruptive activities, such as music or unsupervised children and/or pets near the firing line(s). 7. All weapons must be cleared, preferably with an Empty Chamber Indicator flag inserted, and no magazine when not on the firing line under a Hot Range condition. 8. No loaded firearms allowed on the property other than the firing line(s) under a Hot Range Condition (see exception below). 9. All Licensed Carry Individuals must keep their sidearms holstered at all times. 10. All fire is to be directed towards paper or metal targets specifically provided for such and located at the back stops. Firing at trash, debris, trees or anything else is prohibited. 11. Ear and Eye protection required any time on the firing line(s). The upper firing line is near the venue area, so ear protection is required there during shooting hours. |

Quoted: Quoted: "Location would be near the intersection of I-65 and the AL/TN border." Never mind. I'm busy that day. Yep, about 10 miles north of the border. Which day? I'm hearing rumors of a family event on Sun.; may have to cancel that day and make it a one day event. Still would have BBQ and beer after the shooting. I hope you could make it! |

Would like to come. Checked with offspringy and she's up for it too.
I think it's a great idea, even though I'm not the social type. Any chance of bringing well-behaved 4 legged cohort? |

It sounds like fun but I do work occasional Saturdays with little advance notice. Pencil me in for ‘maybe’.

Right now, we're going with a one day event, but overnight camping is OK. |

@Merlin It's looking like you can add my name to the list..... If all holds well & I expect it will, Monday or Tuesday will be the final confirmation that I get a job near Pulaski & Spring Hill. We will be 3 hardcore conservatives escaping communist VA. I will revisit this thread in a couple of days to update y'all. |

Quoted: Totally unrelated, but I heard a rumor today that Milky Way was possibly getting ready to start doing tours of the old farm. Totally unrelated, but I heard a rumor today that Milky Way was possibly getting ready to start doing tours of the old farm. Not much to tour, you can drive around the farm pretty much any time you want; I've done it at least twice. Maybe it gets you a tour of the big house. It was a subject of the TN Crossroads YT channel a couple years ago: Milky Way Farm | Tennessee Crossroads | Episode 2802.1 |

looking forward to it - plan on bringing a small camper and showing up Friday. That way I could help with set up and cooking.

Milky Way? Hmmm... Haven't heard of that one yet.... I think I'll be living out of
a Motel 6 or some roach hotel for the first couple of weeks. I was thru Shelbyville & Bell Buckle & Wartrace back in the early '90s. I think I swung thru the Lynchburg area on one of those jaunts back then. I spent a week at the Racking Horse Summer Celebration in Shelbyville; dadgone if that wasn't the hottest danged place I had ever been.... The heat hurt my eyes so much I got a headache. I think yall's humidity up there in that neck of the woods is worse than the South Georgia humidity. |

Unfortunately, I'm gong to have to cancel this event. I've been sick since Saturday, just getting over it, but now my wife has it. As usual, it's hit her harder than it did me. Sore throat, coughing, aches and pains, standard crap.
Sorry for the late notice. |
