Tiger Valley's next club match is 3 weeks from today at the range in Mart. I've shot two of these in the past, and they are a ton of fun. It's a laid back event with all skill levels present. Everyone should come out for the day and meet up with some fellow Arfcommers! Link and description from Tiger Valley's site below:

Stages are pre-set with a description available. You can either shoot for time or shoot the stage as a learning process. Anything goes, no restrictions on capacity, sights, or accessories. Ammunition may be resupplied between stages, but any shooting related equipment must be carried on the shooter's person during every stage. For example if you choose to use a bipod it must either stay on the rifle or on the shooter's body somewhere during every stage. Optics can be changed in a similar manner.
Gates open at 5 PM on Friday for campers. Range will remain cold until event begins.

Time: Sign-in and mandatory safety brief at 7:00am; Drill begins at 8:00am.

Equipment: Rifle (150 rds) and Pistol (150 rds). No calibers above .308. No armor piercing ammunition or tracer rds. Pistols: Any iron sight pistol with magazines.

Cost: $75 per shooter

We might've reached out to 200 at the last one, but it was on a human sized steel silhouette. I didn't use any magnification. (Not me in the photo)

Up top it says anything goes regarding accessories but then at the bottom it says "iron sighted" pistols. Are rds on pistols gtg? Also about how many pistol mags would be enough for this sort of thing?

Going to try to make one of these if I can work out the schedule.

RDS are good to go. I use three mags. I ran out on one stage that I think had 32 steel plates, but that's just because I suck

I usually run a belt and a chest rig with 7 pistol mags and same amount of rifle mags for these club matches.

Lol. I have 2 pistol mags and 1 rifle mag on my belt in addition to what's in the gun. That's really all you need.

So your'e shooting 210 rifle rounds and say 105 rounds of pistol depending on the gun PER stage?

Remind me to NOT recruit you for the zombie apocalypse....I couldnt feed you enough ammo.

I don't shoot that much, haha. But I also never run out of ammo.

Shit, some of those pistol mags are 33 round mags.

I like to party.

Well fuck it then. You made the cut!

I have ran a few classes with that much before. Only reason is so I can not be worried about jamming mags and listen to the instructors while not on the line. Thats when you can learn alot of shit by just listening to "story time."

I picked up about 20 of them and shot a bunch with my dad and father in law. Used two at the fall 2019 wtf run and gun and am currently winchester on 40mm. I will be ordering some next month, so will have some for a later match lol.

I'm having minor surgery to the right side of my jaw/neck today, might not be best if I go shoot a match tomorrow.

I'll make a decision tonight if I feel fine.

I don't think driving 1.5 hours while under the influence of narcotic pain killers will be wise so I'm going to have to sit this one out.

10mm stone in the salivary duct that's been infected since the end of December.

Had the surgery schedule for next week but an opening popped up for today so I jumped on it.
