The Town of Ticonderoga is considering adopting Local Law #1 of 2021 prohibiting hunting on town properties.

A public hearing was held on the 11th and there was no input from residents. The next scheduled Town Board meeting is February 25 @ 8:30am.

So what sort of land does the Town itself own, other than maybe some parks, parcels for DPW, etc?

Guessing it has to do with the town park. It's large and I'm sure there are deer there from time to time. They have a car show there every year and I've seen deer prints in the groun before.

Stupid law from apparently stupid people but...and I don't know the area...but I can't see a hunter in his/her right mind WANTING to hunt on town property.
