9 states in 5 days, hit Sturgis and wall drugs.

Best price on the road was 3.39 a gallon.

Until today. I saw one around the corner- 3.25

Day 3.

We've seen NO tents. NO rvs. No rubble, no trash everywhere. I saw 309 gas this morning. They have literally everything, but nothing is crowded. Pull up, park at the door, go inside, done and out.

How's the work situation out there? I've got family in Pa and would like to be closer and I to wish to get out of this communist shit hole. I'm pretty sure we're in the same industry.

There is construction. They are scrambling to find off road dump drivers last I heard for the huge Intel chip factory. I saw multiple tower cranes at The Ohio State University today. Highway work everywhere. Scale isn't what it is west coast but neither is the cost, a fraction of it.

I'm still reverse sticker shocked, almost giggling everytime I pay for something.

Ohio has good roller coasters. We used to go to Kings Island from Indiana and there was another park up north with famous roller coasters.

Welcome to flyover land! We moved from Sammamish to Indy in 2017 and love it! More than 2x the house for half the price, good people, reasonable guns laws (constitutional carry now), and pretty good fresh food. Still haven't found a really good Thai or sushi place though. Small sacrifice.

I moved them and all the stuff a few weeks ago and came back to close up everything.

Left Seattle Tuesday 5am, got to wall sd at midnight pst.

Had breakfast at wall drug, just pulled up in Ohio. 2 days, 2400 miles, 1 speeding ticket (92/80) in Montana $40 bucks.

I'll sorely miss some life friends I met in the pnw, some really great folks I'm grateful to have shared times with. I hope they all swing by the air force museum@WPAFB then come by casa CavVet.

Godspeed!

My wife has been talking about moving to Texas when we retire. I wasn't very prone to it because of the weather and the commies from California invading it. However, things here are getting so bad that I am more open to it now.
