Wife and I will be visiting in October with another couple.  No kids.

Never been to Nashville before. We like guns, eating, drinking, cigars, bourbon hunting, being outside, having a good time.

Recommend some stuff to do, places to go, things to see.

We're staying on the east side off the 155 loop

There are some nice museums and Civil War sites in the area if you like history. If you have a car, you can always take a drive down to Lynchburg and visit Jack Daniel's distillery.

Rock Island State Park is about 2 hours SE
Stones River battlefield
The Hermitage
Broadway/Printer's Alley if you can handle drunken crowds

Plus there's tons of wineries in south middle TN.
