I’ll be working a few weeks a month for the next several months in Springfield.

Any interesting gun stores of note? Not just Bass Pro of course.

Ranges for handgun, rifle, shotgun?

Fishing recs? I guess I should get a trout guide and drive down to the Branson area one weekend. I’ve been to Beaver Lake in Arkansas many years ago for Stripers.

Thanks

417 Taphouse is owned by one of us. Also take a couple days to go to Branson and Table Rock Lake.

If you like museums:

The NRA Museum inside Bass Pro Shops has some very historically significant firearms. It is worth the visit.

The History Museum on the Square has exhibits that link Springfield to the Old West.

And Meister bullets is right down the road, if you shoot lead cast bullet reloads. Last time I drove through, he gave me a cash and carry discount.

For fishing hit up Ozark Trout Runners if you need a guide.   Veteran owned company and he's one of the best and a friend of mine.

Hell if I can make it down I'll IM you and I can take you out on a wade trip depending on water flows. I have all gear you'd need as well.

Lilleys Landing can also hook you up with lodging and guides.

The museum at BassPro needs to be seen.   Plan around 5 to 7 hours to really take it all in and that might be cutting it short.

Have fun and good luck

True. But for an outsider, it’d be fine as a new experience.

And they are anti-CCW and anti-gun ever since the owner committed suicide.
