So the other night the wife and some friends went to the steak house at Circus Circus. Yes, Circus Circus is a bona-fide shithole, but the wife was saying the steakhouse there was actually worthwhile. Turns out, it's pretty damn impressive. The food was quite delicious and the servings large. The "petite" prime rib was 16 or so ounces. Baked potato the size of two fists. They have the option to split a plate. It's an extra $20 but includes all the side items that comes with a meal. I've seen worse for drink prices. Old school style setup with the burgundy colored booths and dark wood.
So if you want to go for a true diamond in the rough check it out. But it is Circus Circus so don't forget to bring your strap. |

Been going there since 89. Used to be voted #1 in RJ poll
To bad it’s in such a dump. |

GREENMACHINE1: The facts is it was a tool, the same as if they had cornered him in a peep show and beat him to death with a 24" Black Dildo!

So this is the Reno CC ?

Haha that’s funny.
I forgot there is one in Reno and I’ve stayed there. |

I was stationed at Nellis back in 2000 to 2007 and Circus Circus was a shithole back then. What really sucks about Vegas is what a dump it’s become. It’s sad because of all the great memories I have from living there like meeting my wife, getting married and starting a family, plus all the fun times we had with friends going out in the desert, shooting and four wheeling.
I visited back in 2014 and was struck at how bad things had slid downhill. I mean Vegas always had a bit of grimy vibe to it because it’s Vegas. But it just seemed dirtier, dustier and more desparate than it had ever been. My wife and I always talk about going back and seeing what it’s like now after COVID, I’m not even sure we would want to now. |

Circus in Vegas really started going downhill when Bill Bennett left in the mid nineties.
Then, after Mandalay Bay opened, things really started spiraling. When MGM nought bought Mandalay resorts in 2005 Circus started to die a slow death. Through all that the Steakhouse remained a great place to eat. The worst part was having to walk through the casino to get there. Now that Phil Ruffin owns it maybe he will do something to bring it back. That or just tear it down like everything else in that area. |

100% the walk from the parking lot to The Steakhouse is at the very least "entertaining". Its like a fully enclosed Fremont Street. The Steakhouse is at some level a light at the end of the tunnel. Went there for the first time a couple months ago. Was very impressed - with the restaurant - NOT the actual casino lol. Portions are amazing, service was excellent. I liked most menu items are a full meal and not a'la carte. I still prefer Golden Steer for overall experience, but it was a pleasant surprise. Would be better if they had outside entrance; so you didn't have to walk through, but whatever, my prime rib was amazing.
