The National Vietnam War Museum's Grand Opening is scheduled for June 25th.  It's located near Mineral Wells...about a mile or so east of the old Ft. Wolters gate.

Good to know. Depending on how this year's Annual Training goes, might stop there on the way back.

Have driven pass this for years when we do training at Ft Wolters in the Guard. Always figured it was just a roadside memorial, with some static displays and artwork. Wasn't aware they were building a museum.

Unfortunately the website doesn't seem to work for me. Hope the museum does well. Know it's not easy keeping a place open, even in a big city. Just down the road, the Dublin Bottling Works had to shutter their museum due to decreased traffic from the lockdowns and have never recovered.

Could you discuss the details of the museum? Such as what it will include, focus, displays, etc.

I really don't know much about it.  It just popped up in a YouTube video about Ft. Wolters.  It looks like most of the exhibits are currently in a mobile home (apparently it is the former Doublewide One of G. W. Bush).  All of the info I have is from their website.
