Our state is now mentioned in the same newscast with FLORIDA in regards to screwed up elections. AND - according to Sen. Spartacus and FHRC, if we had a "fair" election she would be our next Governor.......

The biggest issue is that it was even that close. ~55K votes separation. In MF’ing GA.
Millions of voters were totally ok with all her platform. Ok with the gun control and communist bullshit. Totally ok taking our stuff and giving it to others.
We are fucked and outnumbered.

There was a huge amount of Democrat voter mobilization in this election. Registration, transportation, absentee ballot "assistance", etc.. The Republicans did not come close to matching that. If Abrams had been more moderate, she'd have gotten elected.

She didn't even need to BE more moderate, just talk the talk. If she laid off the socialist rhetoric and gun bans/confiscations she probably would have walked away with it. Once she was in she could reveal her true commie colors.

We're safe for 4 more years gents. Don't become complacent.

Most of her supporters had not one clue nor care what her platform was, their vote was for a black woman just because she was a black woman and nothing else. That is the penultimate example of racial bias and is a big part of the mess this country is in thanks to Obama being elected for the same reason.

A guy I know from church is a high school teacher and did a classroom election for the governors race. He asked students why they voted for each candidate,  the ones that voted for Stacey Abrams all said because she was black and a woman...

That's about where it starts.

These young millennials carry this on into adulthood.  With them getting bombarded across the range of their iPhones, iPads, and such on a daily basis, they're being programmed by the liberal media to blindly follow the liberal agenda.

This is also why she got a ton of support from outside the state.

We dodged a bullet.  She has no business being the governor of any state.

This time.

Chances are they'll just think of more clever ways to cheat next time.  Or ways to make it less obvious.

Or hell, what's to stop them from changing votes after they've been cast?  I mean it's all electronically stored after all.

And I know I've asked this before but I'm not sure if it ever got answered.  I've heard that how we vote is public record - and that people have been fired over their voting records... is that true, and if so, how can we view our own votes.

Negative.  Your votes are not public record.

What you might be referring to is this.  The secretary of state's office keeps voter data that is publicly available at a small fee.  This is useful data that contains names, addresses, precinct, etc.  It is useful for statistical purposes and candidates use them to generate mailing lists for mailouts, etc.

It also contains the date you last voted so everyone can see how active you are.  If it was a primary voting date, it will record whether you requested a Democratic or Republican ballot.

This is not entirely indicative that you might be a Dem or Repub.  However in some political races, some voters cross over to vote for a local candidate.  For example, if your sheriff is running as a Rebup and there are no other important local races, Dems might pull Repub ballots to vote for or against the sheriff.

However the candidate you voted for is secret.  It is not reported anywhere except on the vote tally.  The only exception is an absentee ballot.  Someone at the election office has to open the envelope.

You might be referring to someone being fired for having last voted in one party or another.  That's my best guess.

She had her voters cast provisional ballots to help tie up the system. The democrats want the Secretary of states office in a bad way. That is the office that gets the democrats election control. The dragging it out and press and lawsuits are all being done with a goal in mind. The democrats are playing long ball.

Thanks. And that’s likely what happened.

For me however it’s not an issue much - my bosses seem conservative.

I live in a predominantly black area.  I voted on election day.  I got to the polls a half hour early, so as to still be able to get to work on time.  As I stood in line, busload after busload of people were dropped off at the front doors to the church.  If you drill down to precinct level, in my polling place, 1540+ votes were cast for Abrams, and 60 were cast for Kemp.   I'll leave it to y'all to figure out who all those busloads of people voted for.

Republicans need to take a lesson from this and start up their own voter registration drives.  They need to have their own buses dropping off busloads of Republican voters.  Between chauffeuring people to the polls, registering them three or more times, and "finding" ballots long after the polls have closed, it won't even be this close next time.

Just remember the demographics - if every black person voted for a black candidate, they would get 35%, Abrams got 48%. Its the suburban white liberals that make it close. I would have no problem voting for an African-american (Herman Cain / Ben Carson) or voting for a female candidate (Condoleeza Rice / Niki Haley), but I will never vote for a anti 2A candidate that wants to sandblast Stone Mountain. We have to get out and vote

This is what the GOP should push. I would venture to guess that most if not all republicans do not care about skin color or gender.  I vote for those that stand up for the constitution and a safe and prosperous America.

This is exactly what I told a black coworker of mine at work.  He voted for Abrams simply because of its historic value of a black woman being the first governor of the state of Georgia.  He was stupified to even think that I would consider a black conservative candidate that held the same values as mine.  I don't give a shit about your race/color as long as you are a conservative and a friend to the 2nd Amendment.

But, black people don't vote that way.  They vote for the black democrat but won't vote for the black republican.

I wonder what the total cost of the lawsuit or lawsuits will be to the state taxpayer when it is over?

The total difference in the amount of votes for Gov. and the other statewide races must indicate something. Why would so many people vote the Gov. contest but not the rest? A woman was running for LT Gov. but nowhere near as many total votes were cast for that position.
