Guys, I’m thinking about driving up to Offutt AFB/Omaha this coming weekend.
I’ll be traveling on my motorcycle. I’d like to find a camp ground that has tent camping spots (I think Offutt has some). Any ideas you guys might share is much appreciated. I’ll be traveling from NE, KS (about two hours away). Thanks! |

State campgrounds are probably mostly booked up, getting a non-reservable spot will be a crap shoot.
I'm not MIL so I don't know anything about a campground at Offutt. Are you specifically looking to be close to Omaha for a reason? Louisville SRA might have some walk-up spots depending on when you get there. |

Just visiting some friends in the Omaha area and am using the short drive to shake out my camping set up before heading to AK next summer. Appreciate the feedback!

Base Lake has been closed since the flooding. I had heard they were going to start working on getting it back open soon but not sure. You'd want to make some calls first.
