I'm looking at a job in Sturgis, but know nothing about South Dakota -- my wife's been to the Black Hills a few times, but I've never crossed the border headed over your way.

Wife's a special education teacher, and has mentioned that there appear to be a good number of jobs in her field.

We recently bought a house and 5 acres, and would be looking for something similar or with more acreage in a rural-ish area.  We both currently commute about 40 minutes to work, and while closer would be ideal, we wouldn't be opposed to keeping that commute.

Basically just curious about the area.  I've seen a lot in here about Rapid City, but not so much about Sturgis and the area surrounding.
