I was looking to move/retire in Tonto Basin . Want to get out of the traffic and heat  of the valley .Is it a good place to live ? Any downsides ? this is the house I was looking at 225 W Quail Trl, Tonto Basin, AZ 85553

I want to move up there also. I know people up there, the last 5 years it has gotten crowded. Lots of transplants.

Yeah I knew the previous owner.
That house is overpriced and needs more than $30k in repairs.

I see that it probably needs a roof from the back yard shot.

Its a foreclosure too it looks like.

Tonto basin really isn’t going to get you out of the heat.
Had a friend that lived there, it was pretty much as miserable as any other part of the valley.

Thanks for the heads up , I never inspected it I just guessed it need the roof and interior floor covering .

What you can't see from the pictures are the problems with the foundation.
It has a concrete slab, that is subsiding in places and screwing up walls and doors and more than likely the reason the roof is leaking, badly.
