Hey FL Peeps!
My wife is dragging me to Naples for a week in May with my 19 year old son. We will do the beach thing and a couple of the tourist things like kayaking and shelling. Is there anything cool for the guys to do around there to keep us busy? I want to stay away from the theme parks. How about restaurants that are on the must visit or must avoid list? Thanks! |

https://jimmypssteaks.com/charred-naples-steakhouse/ is a nice spot. They have a restaurant and a butcher shop.
21 Spices if you like Indian food. The chef there was on the "Beat Bobby Flay" show and won. There's a big food truck park there too. Good tacos. 3rd Ave and 5th Ave have a lot of shops, bars, restaurants, art galleries, etc. Marco Island is worth a drive. |

There's always lots of Bingo Games going on.

For Shelling, I highly recommend “Treasure Seekers Shell Tours”. My Wife is a hard core Shell collector and they are by far the best. If you are up to it, they will get you out to some GREAT, rarely touched locations.
Consider an Airboat tour of the Everglades but make sure the water is up or the boat will be limited to the deeper canals. You will see some BIG Gators. You can fish from the Naples Pier (not sure about license requirements). Delonore-Wiggins State Park, Tigertail Beach, Barefoot Beach Rent a Kayak or better yet take a guided Kayak tour. CJ’s marina bar on Marco Island. The food is meh but sit outside. Doreen’s Cup of Joe, also on Marco for breakfast. Sanibel Island Charter fishing but fishing has been shit in recent years. There are a few sunset booze cruises in the area. Visit the Bass Pro Shop Bonita Springs Flea Market Visit the Indian Reservation along the Tamiami Trail |

I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy Glock and thy AR15, they comfort me.

If you are into clays or bird hunting, you should check out Coles Gunsmithing in Naples. It's in a light industrial area, but well worth a visit. Their showroom has shotguns approaching $100,000. It's worth the visit if you are in the area. They are west of Airport Pulling south of J&C Blvd. Google will get you there.

I usually use Reel Kind for fishing and shelling tours when I have visitors.
4 or 6 hour trips...lots of fish and shells. Get some long sleeved shirts...it's beginning to hit 90* every day. |

You guys got it pretty much covered.
Want a great Bagel sandwich? Hit Brooklyn Dough in a hole (935 3rd Ave N). Not crazy about their coffee but Dunkin Donuts is on the same block. |
If you have ever been truly hungry, you can never be full.
