The only thing worse deer crossing the roads is road salt. Kill every last one of those things!

Pretty sure I heard someone starting a bit early last night.
Stay safe out there, stay warm, and good hunting. Lots of newbies out this year, so remember to not take low percentage shots and wear your orange. If you can't positively ID, don't shoot. |

Cold/Windy: I wanted to go have a hot cup of coffee but getting up and leaving for some comfort takes you out of play: 3:30ish the unmistakable sound of movement in the woods woke me up from a nice nap.......Game Time! 5:50 The truck is loaded, homeward! My lottery A season ended yesterday
 Myself and 2 friends managed harvest 5 deer in total this year. One got a nice buck and 2 does. Me and other friend each took a doe yesterday We drank beers and butchered them until midnight last night. Every inch of my body is hurting this am. I've been out around a dozen times since the start of archery (private land) and still haven't seen anything aside from a lady trespassing and attempting to hike with her dog through the woodlot. That stopped right quick after I made it known that I was there, but I'm sure she was doing it regularly enough that the deer had patterned her and shifted their routes. Hopefully this Wednesday will be different! |
