My brother in law just moved to Reno, and my wifes family and I are going out to visit him in a month. What should we do? Aiming to keep the vacation on the cheaper end.

Also, he keeps trying to tell me I shouldn't carry while we are driving because the cops don't understand reciprocity. According to uscca my permit is recognized in Nevada. I've been familiarizing myself with the laws. Is there any real reason i should do anything other than my "concealed is concealed" routine?

I usually shoot a man just to watch him die.

I've had no problems carrying and being stopped by cops, I'm pretty sure they understand reciprocity, wouldn't be something I'd be too concerned about.

Carry. No one will care. Your brother sounds like he just doesn’t want guns around. Not like you’ll get mugged anywhere or have a movie theater shooting any time soon.

Stuff to do? Drive around Peavine on dirt trails. Check out the petroglyphs.

Going to Lake Tahoe is hit or miss. It’s a lot of tourists and really, unless you’re actually spending time at the actual lake it’s just a tourist mountain town. The “cool” thing is just stopping at the highway pull outs and taking photos to show off to your friends.

Skip Scheels, Snd Cabelas. Really not that special or worth checking out.

Check out some local breweries. Lead dog. Revision. Pigeon Head. There are more but those are three coming to mind.

Reno Aces minor league baseball games are back and could be cheap fun.  Grass seats allow you to bring your own chairs in.

Fish a thread marina. I think the season just started.

there are alot of things to do outdoors, I would avoid downtown, too many fucking lame ass hipsters and their ugly romper wearing snowflakes around. if you have a mtb, or road bike there are some bitchin trails around. You could also drive two hours east and check out a nuclear test site, or go fuck off on the playa in the black rock desert.

I am pretty sure vehicle concealed carry is perfectly legal in Nevada.

Within the vehicle, yes but on your person within the vehicle is not without a permit.

Nobody ever gave two shits what you did with your firearms when I lived there. You brother should mind his own business. Cops do. 30c per gallon mark up on fuel in Washoe county. Sheels is awesome though, previous poster wrong.
