Applied 4/23 went active exactly 30 days later. Do they even do the background check?

If your son is under the age of 21 and you signed the FOID application as his sponsor, they conducted a thorough computer  background check on both you and your son.

He is over 21. He also has a pretty high security clearance. So there is info all over about him. Yet it take the full 30 days.

It took 30 days on mine when I was out of state and it expired.

My other son 30 days also.

My wife guess how long?

They either get them done early and sit on them or just let them pass through.

We have a pretty rare last name.

They're not looking for security clearances or “plenty of info” about him. Theyre looking for an absence of info.

Didn't really think they where. He would lose it in a heartbeat over something like bad credit.

Just amazing it take exactly 30 days in every instance.
