Dart said with the number of ghost guns on the street exploding, something had to be done.

"As it stands now, people who've had their gun permits revoked due to felonies, domestic violence and other serious issues can still go out and buy ammo."

WTF is that nonsense?

You can buy ammo in almost any state with just ID for age purposes.
Does this guy understand that?  Just cross the border into WI or IN.  He's never been in law enforcement IIRC, & yet he's the Cook Co. Sheriff.
Does he understand we are one of only a couple states that register gun owners, & require a special ID card to purchase guns & ammo?  Despite that, does he understand that we still have one of the highest rates of violent crime in the nation.  The FOID card doesn't work.
If other states don't have a similar card, how do they stop criminals from getting ammo would be one of my questions to him if the "journalists" in attendance wanted to ask him a question.
Rep. Ford should know all of the stuff I stated above.  He's supposedly a gun owner.
