1929 Indian 4.
Headed to Seaba Station Motorcycle Museum.

Not trying to make it run (for now) just back in one piece as is. That's the last tag, so it's been sitting awhile.
The challenge on this stuff is I can't use current pieces on them, no shiny new bolts, no zip ties, no screw type hose clamps, fuel line .it doesn't have any anyway all copper tubing and plumbing, compression fittings, kinda surprised for "29. ( I cheated on the inner tubes, no raw rubber) and the tires have to be Cokers.
Still got the front to do, have to figure out how to get it off.

How's this for wild?
Speedometer drive and cable.

Exposed lifters and push rods. Exhaust direct up from the bottom, intakes rocker arms from the top.

It belonged to a very wealthy local , probably how it survived WW 2 scrap drives.
Definitely a piece of history and my first.

Neat.  You should post this in GD.

That's pretty nifty. I too would like to see it running again.

Side note: Seaba's was a machine shop for decades and rebuilt engines. My family used them for years and I once had a Ford 429 rebuilt there.

If the motor wasn't locked up we'd give it a shot now.
As it is, it's a project for later.
For now just getting it in one piece more or less and rolling is enough.
Sharp eyes can see the 2 new (used) bolts I had to use, one can't go buy rusty period correct bolts.

Very cool.  Can you purposely rust the bolts to make them appear vintage? Using vinegar and such?

More pics as you go on!

Not the steel bolts, but this was shiny new brass fuel line fittings from Ace this morning.
I aged them and they (aluminum black) blend in well.

And with that, I'm done.

Off to more mundane things like a YZ450F with a piston turned sideways.
