Gorgeous!!!

We got out of our family cabin in Pine yesterday before it really started going.. was about 4" on the ground.. now all the roads are closed and we would have most likely been stuck up there until Tuesday or Wednesday.  Which is what I wanted lol.

White Out in the Viewpoint.
it looks like snow on the lens, but it is snow flakes being blown across sideways.
Surprised my iPhone camera was able to capture that.

Fair amount in Prescott valley also. We certainly need the precipitation but I have a fairly long commute to cottonwood which makes snow a drag ( moved from the northeast 4 years ago) and yesterday was about a 30 minute accident delay on 17 coming home. This morning conditions were a bit worse, but with little traffic on 169 and 17 it was not bad.
Happy it only happens a few days a year!

In the forest south of Prescott. I've got a bit over 3 feet.

And an 800 foot long driveway.

I'm going to have to find a 4WD Uber if we want groceries any time in the next couple weeks.

This is the deck off the master bedroom:

Both dogs loved it.  It was the puppy’s first time outside in real snow.

13F here, just before midnight last night. The snow seems to be melting/compressing fairly fast this morning.

Predicted snowfall by locations in each county.

Looks like a couple inches in Prescott and 4-8 inches in the mountains.

I'm not going to be able to leave my house for weeks at this point.

Love the snow pictures. Especially since we got maybe 2 inches and it is all gone.

The next storm started here about an hour ago.

I've had an inch or so thus far. Not quite a white out but pretty heavy:

The snow tourists are out in force along Senator highway today.

It was down to one lane near Goldwater lake because someone parked their minivan in the southbound lane and left.

I managed, very carefully, to get my jeep down my driveway and get into Precott today. I left perfect compressed tracks to climb my way back to my house.

When I arrived back home the snow on my driveway was utterly destroyed by three 4WD pickups carrying kids who were sledding down it (and past the three no trespassing signs.)

I could't even get the jeep up 20' of the drive on the mess they left behind.

Can't even wrap my head around that level of entitlement.

First, you need better tires.
Second a chain or gate works wonders for keeping out the rifraf.
Third SSS trespassers, you do have a nice abandoned mine for disposal.

1) I have pretty good tires, it's the steep grade and ice that's the problem. I do need to pick up a set of chains, but no one seems to stock them here.

I tried to bring the jeep up yesterday and ended up closer to the road than when I started. Ice is a bitch and the sand I threw down did nothing.

2) I think a gate is going to be a spring project. I know further down the road the neighbors collectively put one up though they never seem to close it.
There really should be one where it joins up with the main road, but it's USFS land and I doubt that would fly.

3) Sssh! It's a secret!
