Jesus H Christ. Why are people so willing to give the .Gov more money. Every city is up with the exception of Index. A 32% property tax hike in Marysville

I’m in Marysville, my property taxes have gone up $800 for the year in the past 5.5 years. And we just had to vote on a school levy that would increase them $2/$1,000 of assessed value(another $600 for me if it passes). I will be paying more per year in property taxes than in interest.

When I moved in to this house 6 years ago my property taxes were 3600/yr, they're almost 7000 this year... That's a fuck ton of my monthly payment going to taxes :-/

They've been much more aggressive at increasing the assessed value lately the actually rate went down this year slightly
