It seems the Florida forum is 50/50 on Scott vs. Nelson.

Given that approximately 75% of the Republicans in the state house and senate voted for the bill Scott signed, should we vote for them in the general election?

Keep in mind that if we "vote them all out", the democrats will have super majorities in both the state house and state senate, which means the following:

1) Whoever the governor is will be largely a moot point.  DeSantis or Putnam will easily have their vetoes overridden.
2) We will get California style gun control
3) We will get an income tax
4) State Senate terms are 4 years long, so that means a dem Senate will have a hand in redistricting after the 2020 census, which means:

-- A loss of between 3 and 6 US House seats

-- Redrawn state senate districts that likely ensure a dem state senate until 2032

-- Redrawn state house districts that make it very difficult for the GOP to reclaim a majority

I really feel like we are stuck between a rock and a hard place and are being kinda forced to vote for the lesser of two evils.
So yea we will wind up having to vote for some guys that we feel let us down (betrayed) earlier this year.
Because like you point out there if we don't we will really get screwed.

If any of those things happen, I hit the eject button and i’m gone from FL.  The primary is the time and place to vote against gun grabbing reps, voting against them in the general is cutting your nose off to spite your face.

I agree with you guys.  I wish we could have removed them in the primaries because I think that shows more about our dissatisfaction with their voting record.  But, most of them will probably be more gun-friendly than any of the dems that would get there and would join ranks with the anti-gun dems that are already in Tally.  This is another hold your nose and vote election.

Does anyone have a list of which FL State Senators and Reps are term limited and won't be on the ballot this election? If most of them are term limited it might be a moot point because they won't be on the ballot.

Term limits are 8 years, so a guess would be 25% of house members, and 33% of Senate members.

In other words, most are not term limited.

So your suggestion is to vote them all out, then the dems will have super majorities in both state houses and give us Kalifornia-style gun control?

The correct answer is no.  HELL NO!!

It took me a long time to realize that leftists play a decades-long game and violence is inevitable at the later stages of it.  There is a lag between what leftists do, the time it takes for the masses to realize what they're doing, and then picking politicians to combat them before the violence begins.  More time to understand and prepare is always better it seems.

So I hold my nose and vote for the opposite of leftists, giving as much time as possible for everyone else to calculate the trajectory of our country and adjust course.  For example, someone like DJT probably should have been elected decades ago, but everything always takes longer than it should.  But happened it did

But it still sucks to do.

It looks like there are 4 House Reps that voted for SB7026 in this election that are up for Reelection according to Miami_JBT's thread on this page. So if they can't be defeated in the Primary then this decision can be made by those in those districts if having 4 Dems in office is worth it or not to send a message.

No, you are misunderstanding what he wrote.  There are 4 up for re-election *who have primary challengers*.  There are many more who voted for SB7026 who have no challengers.
