Any good spots to fish from shore on the north side of St. Paul? Roseville, Shoreview, North Oaks, etc. areas? Asking for an older relative who misses fishing.

A friend from work fished from fishing pier on White Bear Lake last weekend.  Mostly sunnies and one Bass I believe.  I think the pier is near the VFW on the lake.

Plenty of dams with easy access.  Good wallet fishing this time of year.

There is a public fishing dock in Central Park in Roseville. At least there usually is. I haven't been there this year.
