I wish that this was an advanced class.

Also, they're going to light that range on fucking fire if it's as dry as it was last year.

I was hoping they would do a carbine 2 or 3... maybe next year if this is successful.

I'm not sure what their range looks like. You never know they could start a fire..

That dude shooting the M855 into the steel at the TNVC night vision class made me realize how many sparks are generated. It showed how important it is to not shoot M855 in fire conditions.

I've driven out there once. But hey, if it burns, prevailing winds will blow it away from me.

More like twins. Specifically, the Twins starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny Devito.

Yeah he was an interesting character for sure.  More than one thing with him, too

Has anyone decided to participate? I looked at the website and didn't mention whether the ammo had to be factory load or if the ammo could be reloads/bulk practice type.

With all the razzing here, as a civilian that has no military experience, I'm not sure if I'd feel comfortable making a fool of myself if I made a mistake. Everyone needs to start somewhere, so I guess it comes with the territory

I recommend running factory ammo at the course--it is your time, the other students time, and your instructors time, for training.  Run the best ammo you have for that kind of shooting.  Use your reloads when you are home practicing and it is on your time.

It should be just fine for a starter course.  Like you said, everyone has to start somewhere.  Once you get into the class and get your groove on, it is loads of fun and you will want to take more.

Good point about the factory ammo. I have been in a few classes where guys ran reloads and they had issues.

I get the reasoning, but I couldn't find a list of acceptable manufacturers they would authorize. There are some fair deals for factory ammo FMJ, be it 9mm or .45acp or .40sw.....anyone know? I'm still waiting for contact response

I'd look at sgammo.

I've looked there, maybe I didn't say it correctly. Specific brands or manufacturers was my train of thought. Some say Winchester, Magtech, Speer, Remington or other American companies. The carbine class looks very interests maybe if I had enough saved I might take the Protector series 1 also. Nevermind, I just noticed both start same day
