A little while back my oldest asked about possibly hitting up a pistol match to see if that’s something he’s interested in pursuing a bit more.

It looks like Salt Lake Practical Shooter Association is the primary group that hosts events along the Wasatch Front.

Anyone been to a match recently? Just kind of looking for a run down on what to expect and/or a realistic idea of how many mags, ammo, etc. to bring along.

I also see they occasionally hold a new shooter’s training/orientation occasionally, is it worth while to attend that first?
