The author in the SHPAC admitted it wouldn't really do anything for crime, but he wanted to "do something".
The committee got schooled on the NFA process and the associated existing restrictions. There was clarification on the difference between semi and full auto which I thought would be unnecessary in this day and age, I was wrong. Having watched most of the gun control hearings in both houses, I was genuinely amazed at the ignorance displayed. ETA: I'm glad to see at least a few people up there have some sense. |
