Details:
Meet in the parking lot, north of the bathrooms.

Pack weight is 45 pounds (Lbs), water weight is not included.  I will have a scale if you wish to check or do not know if you have enough weight. This is the only option available.  The other NON option involves carrying a rifle.  That will not work here, it is a residential neighborhood and you will make many soccer moms upset.

It requires 3 people to certify a Ruck, so please come if you are not even qualifying and just want to get some exercise.  You will be valuable for others with you presence as a witness.

There are bathrooms at the facility.

Look up weather (Centennial, CO) the day before, Dress for weather

Families, kids, wives, spouses, strollers and leashed dogs are welcome.  The path surface is rough, icy and snowy in many areas.  Please plan foot wear accordingly.

Out 1.5 miles and back, then out 1.5 miles the opposite direction and back, kids can ride bikes if they wish.

Meeting at Lincoln and 83 is the best I can do, and I'd guess thats already so far north its not worth the inconvenience of a ride share. The trip back will be via Tonys meat market (they have good focaccia bread and pies), which will also add to the time.

As OP states they are out for this weekend (4th), how many are planning to attend?

If nobody is going, do you want to revisit the 8.2 mile trail that we did in the snow?

Lets see what @cmsnare (and any one else) says; and try to make a definite plan by Saturday lunch time so we knowwhat we are doing.

If there is no one else coming from Denver the hike nearer the springs seems better logistics to me.

I wasn't planning on making it up to Denver this weekend.  If you all end up doing something down south, let me know and I'd be in.  Need to cross off an 8mi hike for signatures too, so that could be appealing.  Earlier is better on Sunday for me.

As you guys well know IDGAF about pretend badges, but will help out anyone

Weight/distance does not matter.

Helping people does matter

Sounds like "the Pineries open space" (near black forest), gets the trio of votes.

You mentioned the earlier the better, so what time works?

Its an hour drive for me. 8 would allow my usual routine, but 7 wouldn't be inconvenient, and realistically with it been summer 6 would just mean sleeping with the curtains open.

If anyone needs a signature for that pretend-merit-badge I am more than willing to help.

Otherwise, off to hurt my feet closer to home.

I'm down to go further distance but it wouldn't be for a sign off.  I know @Pestilence12 is a little constrained for time, so we'd need to structure the route to be back to the cars at the 6mi mark so he can get back, but we can continue on.  If we can get three folks to get him his first signature that'd be awesome, and those that want to add a leg can.  I know COBullseye is not available for tomorrow, nor is my friend who's been to the last couple.

@XJ

@Wammel - are you joining us tomorrow too?

That was fun! I'll look into some different trails around that area, maybe a touch north or so, and suggest em when I find em

Excellent. I was very interested in what a fruit of the forest pie has in it.

Now that I found a recipe, I'll have to give this a shot at home. Not overly complex it seems.
