Route 80 on Sunday? - Page 1

Asking for info/projections about I-80 west of Cheyenne to the state line on Sunday.

Bottom line: my parents are in the midst of moving to Utah, and I was supposed to get them there yesterday. Heh. wyoroad.info shows no projected opening info, and they have been holed up in a motel.

So, any local info or informed hunches about what tomorrow AM might bring along 80 would be sincerely appreciated.

I just took a quick peak and it seems it's between 14 to 16 hours projected openings on the 85 between Cheyenne and State Line. Same time frame for the 25 and US 87. 287 as well between Mile Marker 416 and State Line. The 230 between Riverside and State line and 230 from Woods Landing and State line are slick in spots with no unnecessary travel recommended.

The 80 is closed for the same time frame (14-16 hours) for pretty much the entire roadway due to either outright closure or rolling closures.

Thanks. With the updates, I think we'll be heading out from Boulder just after 10AM. Still undecided about taking 287 or staying on 25 all the way to 80. Planning on hitting a hotel somewhere and getting into the Logan area Monday.

Yeah, the Interstates are usually the way to go when they open.

287 can be nasty.
