A deputy was shot this morning (expected to make it after having surgery). Perp killed his ex-wife and then led a chase with officers before firing at them. Officers killed him in the shootout.
The original scene was 1.5 miles from my house and the finality of the chase was on my morning commute. I had to go another way to the gym after dropping my kids off at school. 45 min delay. https://www.wistv.com/2023/09/06/road-closures-two-notch-road-after-overnight-incident/ |

i remember this. im glad the officer is ok after surgery. i was unaware of his status.
glad it wasnt that close to my side of things but still it was too close for comfort. |
