She was up in the polls back in May but it seems Nadler has turned it around. Guessing she saw him win with H.R. 1808 so figured she had better take anti-gun action too in order to make points. Odds are there is not enough time to get these bills out of committee. Plus, if she loses the primary, she will most likely spend the rest of her time in Congress on the sidelines since she has no future in the eyes of the leadership (why waste time pushing legislation through the grinder for someone voted out when there are plenty of others who need the support and will be returning?).

How about some legislation holding career criminals responsible for their actions?

Criminals (at least the ones that get caught or have a death wish) typically do not have any money, and by now you  must realize the New York Criminal Justice system is all about money; the Judges are about money, the DA's are about the money, and God help you with money IF you're caught up in the system.
Get a Ticket?  Even if you get it reduced to a Parking Ticket, they STILL demand those "Court Costs".
If the Career Criminals have any cash or toys, the Cops seize it and split it with the Feds.
I don't believe any of the sensationalized and used as poster boys for Mass-Shootings had any money (besides what the FBI fronted them to buy their evil weapons of mass destruction)
So, when the perpetrator of heinous acts has no money, they take the next best route and blame the manufacturer, wholesaler, and Dealer that sold said EWoMD.
Cars & Drunks you say?  Ain't happn' Why? Automakers got LOTS of Attorneys and Money to back them... Say it isn't so.

That's one jaded way to look at the system
I still believe that the criminal justice system should be focused on public safety
