Has the backing of 30 Dems and is a former Strauss ally, 109 pledged total.  The Dems backing him are catching hell because he is a hardliner on immigration; but he’s still about the most moderate Republican with a chance to win.

TSRA A-rated.  The only bill I found him leading on in a brief search was one to allow rifles and shotguns to be purchased in contiguous states under state law. He’s voted consistently with us though.

Not that it matters much with only 19 Republicans in the Senate.  We’re basically going to be deadlocked on gun issues this session.
