Photo copy of birth certificate ok? Or does it need the seal

Does the "place of birth" field on the front of your form say "VERIFIED"?

If so, no need to send in any "proof of legal and lawful presence" like a birth certificate.

I renewed mine by mail, which said VERIFIED. Taped on photo, notarized renewal form, check, self-address #10 envelope. Got new one in the mail in about 2 weeks.

I sent them my birth certificate. They went back in time to my moment of birth and killed me.

I've done my renewal twice by mail. It is easy. Unfortunately they doubled the fee. I wonder if they give away permits to illegal aliens.

Enjoy it while it lasts. I'm sure they are working on a yearly renewal for $1,000 in person, with a psych eval, and required blow jobs for Ned Lamont and William Tong.
