Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Register NFA trust in MI?

Can someone explain or point me towards documentation re: registering a trust in MI? I have read that some states require that trust are to be registered with the clerk in the county the trust resides. I have also read that there is no penalty for not doing so, so most do not (in Michigan). It seems a bit murky. Can anyone help shed some light on this?

It has been a while, but I seem to recall the lawyer that did my Trust advised that it was not necessary in Michigan to register the Trust.
