What: Redwolf 2 Gun Challenge

Where: Angry Emu Range

When: 12/19/2021 10AM - safety meeting/stage planning, overnight camping on Saturday night for those interested

There will be 5 stages which are generally created with input from everyone. I do have one stage already in mind though. At a minimum a pistol, rifle, ammo, & spare mags is generally all you need. Holsters, slings, & mag pouches are handy though. Ranges for pistols are generally 10-25 yards & 50-200 yards for rifles. 2-3 pistol (15rd mags) & 1-2 rifle mags (30rd mags) is usually enough to get through a stage. Round counts have been fairly low lately. Stages can include running, barriers, reloads, & other fun challenges we come up with as the day goes on. Bring chairs, tables, canopies, drinks, snacks, etc. as well. Feel free to ask any questions or offer suggestions.

I have a new hostage target with 2x4 mount.....just need a 2x4 stand to use it. Could probably work that in.

I know some of ya'll are using .22s to shoot the course. What optic are ya'll using on your rifles? I don't think I can make this shoot, wife is still pretty sick but I hope to make the next one.
By the way, I'm thinking of using my S&W 15/22 pistol for long gun and a tx22 for sidearm. Thank you.

It can all be shot easily with a red dot. Farthest target is 250yds and is torso sized. I've run with my 5" 22lr braced pistol with a red dot, my 11.5" 5.56 with a red dot, my 10.3" 5.56 with a red dot, and my 16" with an LPVO. Red dot is fastest.

We're pretty loose on what you bring. It's mostly about getting out and shooting/hanging with locals. The competition is fun without being overly serious.

I had a pop up canopy that I thought was water proof. It was definitely not. Tarp and some cordage fixed that, though. I think I'm going to find a nicer pop up with a wall kit going forward. I'm tired of tents and hammocks.

I've been messing around with rigging a tarp over the bed of my truck. It's working pretty good but I haven't been able to try it in the rain yet.
