I remember a while back some rocket surgeon was talking about the an island in Narragansett bay that was populated with rattlesnakes.
He said they should be allowed to re-populate the state.  Any information on which island it is? |

"The "other" Gould Island, also known as Snake Island, is located in the Sakonnet River and was once used as a picnic area for guests at the Island Park amusement park in Riverside. It's now protected as a bird sanctuary by the Audubon Society of Rhode Island." The best and easiest way to view snakes in RI is at the State House, while Legislature in in session. HTH |
