Is there anywhere in NE Ohio that someone can actually train at, or are static ranges the only things that exist here? I live on the west side of Cleveland, Lorain County, and I'd love to find a place to train instead of just standing at a bench shooting...

Thanks!

Train as in a group course or train as in practice shooting on the move on your own?

Alliance Police Training in Alliance, OH has some courses open to the public

This place in Hudson, OH might work:

Maybe another way to find such ranges is look on https://practiscore.com for ranges with USPSA IDPA IPSC or similar matches with movement, and then contact the club about if they allow that when you’re on the range by yourself.

Thank you. By myself on the move, or with a group when we can all get together. When I lived in PA I belonged to a great club where we had 14 training bays, one large 50 yard x 50 yards training bay, and a kill house. I don't believe anything like that exists around here... I know there is the Northern Ohio Tactical Training Center, but I believe that is just a place to host classes.

I'm not sure about open shoots, but this place has a lot of classes, and isn't too far from you:

Southington does a lot of classes and matches, but it is a bit of a hike from Lorain.

This is probably your best bet in that AO for that type of training.

We have TDI down here in Adams County.

A bit out of your immediate area but check with Andrew Blubaugh at APEX Shooting and Tactics.
He works in Wadsworth but also owns a range in Ashtabula county that goes out to something like 1200 yds
