Hello all, so I sold a Colt LMG upper only to a guy who happens to live in MD.  I know MD has strict laws regarding semi-autos so I called a couple stores and received two different opinions.

From my reading of the law, this is not a firearm, and thus, a non-issue, but I just want to be sure.

So the model is labeled a Colt LMG. However, it was not sold as a registered machine gun (it was on a standard AR semi-auto lower when I bought it from dealer).  It doesn’t even have the full-auto bolt.

So, my arfcom, MD residents, can this upper be shipped to my buyer’s door in MD?

Yes. Even uppers with lightweight barrels are legal to own...you’re just not supposed to put them onto a post-2013 lower.
