My son was able to get this buck on Public land. He used a Marlin XS-7 7mm-08 to make a 350 yard shot. His friend did him a solid by taking him out, showing him the ropes, and calling the distance.

I'd love to join him next year.

Nice!

I took my youngest son out yesterday, and found nothing but other hunters. Hopefully he can get his first Muley next week.

My son said they saw about 6-10 other hunters during the day. I'm sure my son's friend's experience helped and I hope my son was PAYING ATTENTION!
