I just saw a poll on WGN that puts Pritzer at 50% vs Rauner 30% that leaves 20%. I think Rauner is the best Governor we have had in a long time. That poll may have been done in Cook County.

It doesn't help that Rauner has snubbed Trump at every chance. Like he thinks Trump stumping for him is a bad thing? Dumb ass doesn't realize he screwed his chances up as governor and now we are gonna get stuck with a fat fuck tax cheating commie! So sick of Illinois at times.

The Trump connection would kill the voting numbers in Chicago that Rauner absolutely has to have to get reelected. Again, Madigan would use Trump as a club on the Cook vote... most of those folks in Cook aren't like us in the rest of the state.

Yup, I tried explaining that to one of my libertarian friends but he wasn't hearing it. I already sent my ballot in as well as my wife. Voted straight ticket republican even though I had to hold my nose to do it.

CHICAGO -- In the race for Illinois governor, 10 staff members are suing J.B. Pritzker's campaign for racial discrimination and harassment.

In the lawsuit announced Tuesday night, the staff members claim they were hired for specific race-related tasks such as "rounding up 40 black guys" and to fill a race quota.

They said they were not offered meaningful opportunities for advancement, and received less favorable treatment than staff members who are white.

I live in a very conservative part of the state and have seen more McCann signs than anything, a few for JB Puffnstuff and exactly zero for Rauner. Between the fact that Rauner is an absolute turd and the fact that there is a third party candidate with pretty visible support to split the Republican vote I predict that fat fuck wins by a wide margin.

Reynolds v. Sims(1964) is why we have this mess. IL was the perfect place for it, mostly rural with a large city(which now controls the entire state).

Which basically says to me that states dont have Senators if they are apportioned by population. Sort of makes state Senators nothing more than more powerful state reps. I'll always believe SCOTUS got that decison wrong. Its like telling the states, sorry you get Senators based on population. That would never go over.
